Mr. Bruce Elliotte Williamson Sr.

Moncure, NC - (Pittsboro) - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Bruce Elliotte Williamson, Sr. age 63, of 1419 Moncure-Pittsboro Road, Moncure, North Carolina. He entered eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at his residence surrounded by family.

Bruce Elliott Williamson, Sr. was born on October 17, 1960, in Reidsville, North Carolina to Gladys Withers Williamson and the late Joseph Williamson, Jr.

Bruce was a 1979 graduate of Bartlett Yancey Senior High School. He was employed for over 20 years with Indalex Aluminum Solutions (Formally Eastco Aluminum). At an early age he joined the New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church. In his later years he attended Taylor’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Bruce had a love for farming and gardening. He loved tending to his goats, chickens, pigs, and dogs. He had a green thumb and could grow just about anything in his garden from fruits to vegetables. Bruce enjoyed camping and fishing. He was an avid Duke Blue Devils fan and loved listening to Lee Williams gospel music.

Bruce leaves to cherish his memory to his wife, Heather Williamson of the home; mother, Gladys Withers Williamson of Reidsville, NC; four children, Bruce Williamson, Jr. (Erika) of Reidsville, NC, Tabatha Williamson of High Point, NC, Whitney Williamson of Burlington, NC and Cassidy Williamson of the home; three brothers, Marty Williamson (Annette), Jeffrey Williamson, Sr. (Diane) of Reidsville, NC and Steven Williamson of Polkton, NC; two sisters, Regina Bigelow (Gary) and Renita Scott (Frank) both of Reidsville, NC; grandchildren: Jayda, LeKara, Kayla, and Leighonna; grandmother, Lonna Mae Williamson of Reidsville, NC; mother-in-law, Jan Willard; father-in-law, Thomas Dodson; grandfather-in-law, Ronald Johnson; two cousins, raised in the family home, Katie and Natalie Withers; and a host of nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; relatives; and friends.

A Public viewing for Mr. Bruce Elliott Williamson Sr. will be on Saturday, June 22, 2024; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

A Family visitation viewing for Mr. Bruce Elliott Williamson Sr. will be on Sunday, June 23, 2024; from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at New Ephesus Baptist Church.

Funeral Services for Mr. Bruce Elliott Williamson Sr. will be conducted at 2:00pm on Sunday, June 23, 2024; at New Ephesus Baptist Church, 8939 US Hwy 158, Ruffin, NC .

Interment will follow at New Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery in Ruffin, NC.
