Pelham, NC- It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Charles Edward Graves, 83, of 1647 Henderson Road, Pelham NC, who passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Wesley Long Hospital (Cone Health) Greensboro, NC.
Mr. Charles Edward Graves was born on July 10,1941 in Caswell County, NC to the late Azzie Graves and Mary Gwynn Graves. He was a faithful member of the Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Pelham, NC. He served on several auxiliaries at church. He was a Trustee, a member of the Male Chorus, the Graveyard Committee and the Financial Committee.
Mr. Charles Edward Graves was a former employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Miller Brewing Company and Sears and Roebuck.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ida Mae Farrish and Delois Jones; two brothers, Morris Graves and John Graves.
Mr. Charles Edward Graves leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of the home. Edna Watlington Graves; one brother James Franklin Graves (Betty) of Pelham, NC; one sister Lettie Matthews, Fort Washington, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law; other relatives and friends.
A public viewing for Mr. Charles Edward Graves will be on Thursday, October 3, 2024; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home, Yanceyville NC.
Family visitation for Mr. Charles Edward Graves will be on Friday, October 4, 2024; from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Pelham, NC.
Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Edward Graves will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Pelham, NC. Rev. Dr. E Coppage presiding and Rev Freddie Seabrooks will deliver the words of comfort.
Interment will follow in Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Pelham, NC.
