Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Douglas Edward Turner of 6179 Badgett Sisters Parkway in Yanceyville, North Carolina. He passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at his residence.
He was a native of Caswell County, North Carolina, born January 5, 1953, to the late James David Turner and Mable Brown Turner. He was a graduate of Bartlett Yancey High School Class of 1971 in Yanceyville, North Carolina. He furthered his education at Alamance Community College in Burlington, North Carolina where he graduated with a business degree.
Then Douglas pursued his career at GKN Automotive, a world-leading global automotive technology company prior to his retirement. He was a member of Graves Chapel Baptist Church, in Yanceyville, North Carolina, where he sung in the male chorus.
In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by one brother, David Eugene Turner.
Douglas leaves to cherish his memories are wife, Pamela Graham Turner; one daughter, Candace Turner Rather (Tyrone) of Dacula, Georgia; two sons, Edward Turner (Joyce) of Powder Springs, Georgia and Phillip Turner (Jewel) of Yanceyville, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law, Pattie Turner of Yanceyville, North Carolina, Joyce Huff of Reidsville, North Carolina and Lorna Watkins of Danville, Virginia; brother-in-law, Reverend Tyrone Graham (Shelby) of Danville, Virginia; seven grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A public viewing for Mr. Douglas Edward Turner will be on Friday, May 16, 2025; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Family visitation viewing for Mr. Douglas Edward Turner will be on Saturday May 17, 2025, from 12:30p.m. to 1:00p.m. at Graves Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Yanceyville, North Carolina.
Funeral Services for Mr. Douglas Edward Turner will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday May 17, 2025; at Graves Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Yanceyville, North Carolina; where Reverend Kenneth Walker will deliver the words of comfort.
Interment will follow at Brown & Turner Family Cemetery at Badgett Sisters Parkway, in Yanceyville, North Carolina 27379.
