Mr. Herbert Garland

Milton, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Herbert Garland, of 295 Hudson Rd. Milton, NC, who passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, after a lengthy illness, at Yanceyville Rehabilitation and Health Care, Yanceyville, NC.

Herbert was born to the late Geneva Garland, in Caswell County, NC and attended Caswell County Schools. 

He  was an employee of CPL Power Plant before he became disabled.

Herbert was a member of New Zion Baptist Church, Milton, NC.

In addition to his mother, Herbert was preceded in death by his sister Janie Lee Garland and grandparents Jasper and Lula Dortch Garland.

Herbert leaves to cherish his loving memories to his daughter Juanita T. McCaden (Damien); grandson Xavier; one brother, Percell Garland (Velda) of Milton, NC, niece/sister, Angela of Whitsett, NC, cousin/brother Steven Garland (Fannie) of Ford, VA, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A Public viewing for Mr. Herbert Garland will be on Sunday, September 22, 2024; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral.

A Family visitation viewing for Mr. Herbert Garland will be on Monday, September 23, 2024; from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral.

Funeral Services for Mr. Herbert Garland will be conducted at 1:00pm on Monday, September 23, 2024; in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral

Interment will follow at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Milton, NC.
