Mr. James Arthur Hayes

Reidsville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. James Arthur Hayes of 330 Blanch Street, in Reidsville, North Carolina. He passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at AuthoraCare Collective Hospice Home in Burlington, North Carolina.

James, the beloved son of the late Mary Ellen Southern Snipes, was born on May 16, 1955, in Caswell County, North Carolina.

He received his education in the local public school system and after graduation James proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He later became a self-employed painter until his retirement.

Mr. James Arthur Hayes leaves to cherish his memories with his daughter Alicia Hayes and his grandchild Asia Sifford both of Charlotte, North Carolina; his three sisters Geraldine Robinson (James), Shirley Foster (Oscar), Mary Lou Holloway all of Yanceyville, North Carolina; his two brothers Julius Holloway, Jr. (Eloise), and Percy Holloway (Cynthia) all of Yanceyville, North Carolina; his special aunt Minister Juanita Brim; his significant other Lavern Thornton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.

Memorial Services for Mr. James Arthur Hayes will be conducted at 12:00noon on Tuesday, December 30, 2025; in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
