Mr. James Orlando "Peanut" Taylor

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of                        Mr. James "Peanut" Taylor 73 of 167 Dillard School Drive in Yanceyville, North Carolina. He passed away on Saturday, July 04, 2026, at his residence.

James, the beloved son of the late Lydia Frances Taylor, was born on May 08, 1953; in Caswell County, North Carolina.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Caswell County, where James was educated in the Caswell County school system and was a graduate. He was of Baptist faith and was employed in the textile industry at Copeland Fabrics in Burlington, North Carolina.

James married the love of his life Rhonda Johnson Taylor, and their union was blessed with two sons Orlando, and James. They shared years of joy, happiness and laughter. In his leisure James enjoyed sitting on the porch, listening to music, giving wisdom to the younger generations, and supporting the Dallas Cowboys (He was a true die-hard fan).

In addition to his mother James was preceded in death by his sister Betty Taylor Graves, and his brother Andrew Taylor.

Mr. James "Peanut" Taylor leaves to cherish his memories with his beloved wife Rhonda Johnson Taylor of the home; his two sons Orlando Johnson of Reidsville, North Carolina, and James D. Taylor of Wilmington, North Carolina; his two grandchildren, and his two great-grandchildren; his four sisters Odella Graves of Yanceyville, North Carolina, Sandra Taylor (Eddie Dean), Carolyn Casterlow (Clyde) all of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Shawn Hall of Oklahoma; his two brothers Rudolph Taylor of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Claude “Sleepy" Taylor (Shawn) of Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.

Public viewing for Mr. James "Peanut" Taylor will be on Wednesday, July 08, 2026; from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Family visitation viewing for Mr. James "Peanut" Taylor will be on Thursday, July 09, 2026; from 1:30p.m. to 2:00p.m., in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Funeral Services for Mr. James "Peanut" Taylor will be conducted at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 09, 2026; in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Interment will follow at Hamer Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Blanch, NC.
