Timberville, VA - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Jimmy Germaine Southern 50, of Timberville, Virginia, formerly of Danville, Virginia. He passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Jimmy was born on March 18, 1976; in Danville, Virginia to James Edward Royster and the late Queen Delois Southern who preceded him in death.

He attended the local public schools in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Jimmy was employed at Pilgrims Poultry Plant, one of the world’s largest poultry facilities, as a highly trained and skilled processor in Timberville, Virginia.

Mr. Jimmy Germaine Southern leaves to cherish his memories with his wife Lashonda Gregory Southern his daughter India Burrell of Greensboro, North Carolina; his four sons Jalen Southern, Jimmy Southern, Jimel Southern, and Darvlin Southern all of Danville, Virginia; his father Elder James Edward Royster (Sharon) of Danville, Virginia; his four sisters Lakeesha Southern of Yanceyville, North Carolina, Jimeka Southern of Danville, Virginia, Selisecia Royster of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Jameelah Stone of Danville, Virginia; his brother Jarious Royster of Danville, Virginia; his six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.

A Public viewing for Mr. Jimmy Germaine Southern will be on Sunday, May 31, 2026; from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Yanceyville, NC.
