Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Joseph Allen Jones Jr. of 1369 Highway 86 North, Apartment 1-C, Yanceyville, North Carolina. He passed away on Tuesday, March 04, 2025, at Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia.
Joseph was born on July 10, 1962, to the late Mr. Joseph Allen Jones Sr. and Mary Lee Jones in Hurdle Mills, North Carolina.
He attended and graduated from Person County Schools in Roxboro, North Carolina. Joseph entered the workforce and was employed with Danville River Mills in Danville, Virginia, and later employed with Cone Mills in Mebane, North Carolina as a weaver prior to his retirement.
Joseph was baptized as one of Jehovah Witnesses on March 15, 2003 at the Kingdom Hall in Blanch, North Carolina, where he remained faithful until his death. His favorite pastime's were doing lawncare, repairing automobiles, and most importantly Joseph enjoyed talking to people about God’s Kingdom. He was also a big supporter of his community, where Joseph received the NC DPS Adult Correction Reentry Programs and Services Volunteer Appreciation Award, May 02, 2019.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by wife Ruby Lipscomb Jones, his brother, Kenneth Jones, an Aunt Bell Jones, and three uncles, Pete, Albert, and Johnny Jones.
Mr. Joseph Allen Jones Jr. leaves to cherish his memories with his son, Ethan Jones and Ethan’s mother Edwina Jones both of Boston, Massachusetts; four sisters Jennifer Daye (Donald), Lisa Jones all of Roxboro, North Carolina, Winifred Davis (Marvin) of Oxon Hill, Maryland, and Clara Massaquoi (Aman) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two brothers James Jones (Jameka) of Danville, Virginia, and John Jones (Cheryl) of Roxboro, North Carolina; an aunt Carolyn Bass of Durham, North Carolina; two uncles Bert Jones of New Jersey, and John Jones (his bonus dad) of Roxboro, North Carolina; his two bonus sons Anthony Lipscomb (Tabeitha) of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina and Andrew Brain Lipscomb of Burlington, North Carolina; special friends Linda Clay, and Nathaniel Jeffreys; and a host other loving relatives and many cherished friends.

Public viewing for Mr. Joseph Allen Jones Jr. will be on Saturday, March 08, 2025; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral.
Family visitation viewing for Mr. Joseph Allen Jones Jr. will be on Sunday, March 09, 2025; from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in Blanch, North Carolina.
Funeral Services for Mr. Joseph Allen Jones Jr. will be conducted at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 09, 2025, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in Blanch, North Carolina.
Interment will follow at Macedonia A.M.E. Church Cemetery in Milton, NC.
