Mr. Kenneth Darrell Foster Obituary

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Kenneth Darrell Foster of 347 Hodges Dairy Road,  Yanceyville, North Carolina. He transitioned peacefully on Thursday, May 01, 2025, at SOVAH Health in Danville, Virginia.

Kenneth was born on January 28, 1957, to the late Roy Lillard Foster and Grace Elizabeth Williamson Foster.

Kenneth was baptized at an early age, where he attended services with his late grandmother Willie Ester Foster at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, in Pelham, North Carolina. Later in life he would often have Bible Study under the leadership of Pastor Alfred Randolph, Deacon Terry Foster, and Archie “Bro” Foster.

As a native and lifelong resident of Caswell County, North Carolina, where he began his education and would graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School in 1975.  Professionally he was a smart, hardworking, and diligent man who was employed by Freudenberg Performance Material and Duke Health Systems, where he retired from in 2023.

Kenneth was a loving husband of 17 years to Marilyn Wade-Foster with whom he gained a daughter, Jenifier Marrow (Carl) of Clemmons, North Carolina. He was a proud Papa Kenny to four grandsons: Braylen, Brenton, Bryson, and Braxton; and one granddaughter: Madison Olivia who brought great joy to his life.

He was also survived by a sister: Kimberly Mims (Derrick) of Blanch, North Carolina; three uncles: Winford Foster (Amelia), Joseph R. Foster (Rebecca), and Ackery Foster all of Yanceyville, North Carolina; three aunts: Queen Ester McRae (Robert) of Durham, North Carolina, Chaney Foster of Danville, Virginia, and Clara Foster of Yanceyville, North Carolina; three brothers-in-law: Madison “Earl” Wade of Danville, Virginia, Barry Wade of Milton, North Carolina and Marvin Wade (Vanessa) of Danville, Virginia; two sisters-in-law: Brenda Wade of Durham, North Carolina, and Shirley Wade of Milton, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a faithful grand dog named Bentley, who he referred to as “Sauci Boots.”

Memorial Services for Mr. Kenneth Darrell Foster will be conducted at 1:00pm on Friday, May 09, 2025, at New Haven Missionary Baptist Church, in Milton, NC.
