Eden, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Stanford Lee Little, Jr. affectionately known as “BoBo” of 1343 Virginia Street Eden, North Carolina. He departed this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Duke University Hospital, in Durham, North Carolina surrounded by his loving family.
Stanford was born in Henry County, Virginia to the late Stanford Lee Little Sr. and Cora Hairston Little on November 16, 1950.
A lifelong resident of Henry County, Virginia, he graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Fieldale. He attended Rockingham Community College and Danville Community College. Stanford then became self-employed in construction.
Subsequently, Stanford proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army where unfortunately, he became disabled and received an honorable discharge.
In addition to his parents, Stanford was preceded in death by his sister Monica Lafaye Little, and his two brothers Jimmy Jerome Little, and Alvis Dwight Little.
Mr. Stanford Little leaves to cherish his memories with his beloved wife Fannie Dillard Little of the home; two daughters April Ludvig (Jahkeepi) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Natarshi Moore (Barry) of Greensboro, North Carolina. He was also a proud grandfather of four grandchildren Aryanna Harris, Shonia Thorton, Destiny Moore and Tae Moore. Stanford was survived by his seven siblings Rivers Millner (Freddie) of Eden, North Carolina, Earlene Dillard (Albert) of Martinsville, Virginia, Vanessa Adams (Reverend Andrew) of Cascade, Virginia, Franklin Little (Carolyn) of Danville, Virginia, Benett Jay Little (Sandra) of Martinsville, Virginia, Keith Little, and Carl Little both of Axton, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, his bonus sons Deante Keen and Dr. Herbert McNeal, Sr.; and bonus grandchildren Lillian McNeal and Herbert McNeal, Jr.; as well as other cherished friends who will miss Stanford “BoBo” dearly.
A public viewing for Mr. Stanford Lee Little Jr. will be Sunday March 16, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel 417 Price Street, Eden, NC.
Funeral services for Mr. Stanford Lee Little Jr. will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 17, 2025, at St. John Baptist Church in Axton, Virginia. Reverend Emeritus Dr. Otis Dillard will deliver the word of comfort and Bishop Dr. J. Rolan Cohen Sr. will preside. His Military Rites Ceremony will be performed at the church.
Interment will follow in the Hamlin Cemetery, Eden, NC.
