Mr. Willie Earl Lea

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Willie Earl Lea age 67, of 475 Melvin Wrenn Road, Yanceyville, North Carolina. He passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at his residence.

Willie was the son of Annie Ruth Lipscomb Lea and the late Willie Jake Lea, born on January 17, 1957, in Caswell County, North Carolina.

He was a graduate from Bartlett Yancey Senior High School, in Yanceyville, North Carolina.

As an Environmental Technician of 25 years, Willie was employed at Aecom (URS) in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina.  

Willie was a member of Yanceyville Missionary Baptist Church in Yanceyville, North Carolina.

In addition to his father, Willie was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Ann Oliver and Angela Hughes; two brothers, Donnell Lea and James Arthur Lea.

Mr. Willie Earl Lea leaves to cherish his memories to his beloved mother, Annie Ruth Lipscomb Lea; four daughters, Andrea McClendon (Mark) of Heathsville, VA, Erica Knight of Blanch, NC, Alisia Lea (Ahmad) of Yanceyville, NC, and Brittainy Richardson of Mebane, NC; three sons, Dwayne Wilson (Ashley) of Roxboro, NC, Gabriel Hairston of Greensboro, NC, and Olander Richardson of Burlington, NC; his brother, Sherman Lea of Graham, NC; seventeen grandchildren, Skylnn, Summer, Kourtney, Kourey, India, Asia, Chad, Elaina, Exavier, Ebonie, Elexus, Essence, Exavier, Icelan, Tanijah, Gabrion and Khadija; and three great-grandchildren; and a host of special nieces, and nephews, other relatives, and friends. He loved his family.

In honoring Mr. Willie Earl Lea Wishes, no services will be held.
