Mrs. Autrice Turner Hampton

Garner, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announced the death of Mrs. Autrice Turner Hampton of 107 Hassell Court, Garner NC, formerly of Pelham, NC, who passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Eddie Turner and Annie Mae Graves Turner, born May 3, 1942, in West Virginia. She was a graduate of Booker T Washington High School in Reidsville, NC and was a homemaker.

Autrice at a young age, she joined and became a member of Disciples of Christ in Danville, Virginia. 

She was married to Ernest Wayne Hampton who preceded her in death; she was also preceded in death by five brothers, Abraham Turner, Jordon (JT) Turner, Eddie June Turner, David Turner and Donnie Turner; three sisters, Margretta T. Watlington, Ophelia Corbett and Francis T. Hairston.

She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Eddie William Hampton (Cassandra) of Pelham, NC; daughters, Autrice Marie Hampton- Barrett of Garner, NC and Ernestine Khans of Danville, Va.; brother, William Anthony Turner (Sharron) of Eden, NC; grandchildren, Anthony Q Gunn Jr. (Kylon) of Keeling Texas, Zahnian Hampton - Williams of Charlotte, NC, Helena A. Gunn of Danville, Va., and Adam J. Hampton of Pelham, NC; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Mrs. Autrice Turner Hampton will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, 12:00 Noon in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton- Walton Funeral Home. Rev. John Doe will deliver the words of comfort.

Inurnment will take place in the Blackwell Missionary Baptist church Cemetery next to her husband.
