Semora. NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Beatrice Stewart Royal of Semora, North Carolina. On Tuesday, January 14, 2025; she departed her earthly life peacefully surrounded by her loving family to be with her heavenly Father at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Beatrice was the daughter of the late Dave and Daisy Stewart, born on January 02, 1929, in Manhattan, New York. At an early age she moved to Semora, North Carolina and was raised by her late aunt and uncle, Emma and Jessie Elmore.
On September 27, 1947, Beatrice was united in marriage to the late Aldeen Royal who preceded her in death in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her three sons, Daniel Royal, David Royal and Aldean Royal; three great grandchildren, Miguel Wenstley, Nautica Barnette, and Onysti Smith; one great-great grandchild, Khaleb Smith; three brothers, Roy Stewart, Harrison Stewart, and Alvin Stewart; two sisters-n-law, Ruby Stewart and Mabel Stewart.
Beatrice was a member of Macedonia A.M.E. Church, in Milton, North Carolina. She was a homemaker who loved to cook, and, in her pastime, she enjoyed collecting dolls. Beatrice especially loved her family and called her children and grandchildren “My Crowd.”
Mrs. Beatrice Stewart Royal legacy lives on through her five daughters, Daisy Elmore (David), Emma Royal, Frances Bennett, Katie Wagstaff (Gregory), and Connie Royal. She is also survived by her eighteen grandchildren, one of which she raised, Nicole Royal; twenty-four, great-grandchildren, one of which she raised, Deante Royster; nineteen great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, and friends.
Mrs. Beatrice Stewart Royal leaves a legacy of faith, love, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
Public viewing for Mrs. Beatrice Stewart Royal will be on Tuesday, January 21, 2025; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
The family visitation viewing for Mrs. Beatrice Stewart Royal will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2025; from 12:30p.m. to 1:00p.m. at Macedonia A.M.E. Church, in Milton, NC.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Beatrice Stewart Royal will be conducted at 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 22, 2025; at Macedonia A.M.E. Church, in Milton, NC.
Interment will follow at Macedonia A.M.E. Church Cemetery in Milton, NC.
