Browns Summit, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Bobbie Waddell Moyer of 6 Arbor Springs Court in Browns Summit, North Carolina. She passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital, in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Bobbie, daughter of Robert Arthur Waddell and Nettie Beatrice Wilson Waddell, was born on March 20, 1945, in Guilford County, North Carolina.
She attended the Roanoke County public schools, where Bobbie graduated from Lucy Addison High School in Roanoke, Virginia. Afterwards Bobbie continued her education through a state-approved training program earning her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Bobbie demonstrated expertise and dedication within the healthcare sector, contributing to her skills as a Group Home Manager and assisting numerous individuals throughout the community until her retirement.
Bobbie was a faithful member of Refuge Temple Church (COOLJC) in Burlington, North Carolina. She cherished her family, and they cherished her right back; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren— prize possessions. She never missed a family gathering—birthdays, graduations, reunions—you name it, Bobbie was there. Bobbie lived to go the flee market, shopping, especially shopping and looking for shoes.
In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Tonya Pullins Riley, and her son-in-law Brian Robinson.
Mrs. Bobbie Waddell Moyer leaves to cherish her memories with her two daughters Hope Pugh-Graves (Perry) of Brown Summit, North Carolina, and Robin Robinson of Greensboro, North Carolina; her son Fred Pugh II of Helena, Georgia; her two sisters Jerlene Phoenix of New Jersey, and Karen Houston of Roanoke, Virginia; her ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren all in whom she loved dearly; and a whole tribe of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and cherished friends who will forever love and miss her.
Graveside Service for Mrs. Bobbie Waddell Moyer will be conducted at 11:00am on Friday, October 17, 2025; at Shady Grove Christian Church Cemetery in Eden, NC and the Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
