Mrs. Edna Day Ware

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announced the death of Mrs. Edna Day Ware of 829 Hodges Dairy Rd. Yanceyville, NC, who passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023; in the Penn Nursing Center, Reidsville, NC.

Edna was a native of Caswell County, North Carolina; born on November 8, 1939, to the late Otis Day and Mildred Pryor Day.

She graduated in 1958 from Bartlett Yancey High School; as well as was a former member of Community Baptist Church both in Yanceyville, North Carolina. Edna also was a homemaker who was committed to taking care of her family and working outside of home at Tommy Mini Mart in Yanceyville, North Carolina prior to her retirement.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Stephen Ware Sr.; her one son, Claude Stephen Ware Jr.; and her one sister, Bobbie Stephens.

Mrs. Edna Day Ware leaves to cherish her beautiful memories to her are two daughters: Terri Hyatt (Harrison) of Yanceyville, North Carolina, and Brenda Tait (Phil) of Morganton, North Carolina; five grandchildren: Brooke Setliff (Justin), Holly Broadnax (Timothy), Brittney, Stephanie Dobson (Jon), and Garrett; eight great grandchildren; other relatives, and friends.

A Viewing and Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Edna Day Ware will be Tuesday, February 14, 2023, from 5 PM to 7 PM in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
