Mebane, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Everlyn Spates-Brown 92, of 808 South 5th Street, Mebane, North Carolina. She went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 07, 2025, at AuthoraCare Hospice in Burlington, North Carolina.
Born January 04, 1933, in Lake City, South Carolina, to the late Preacher and Hetter McFadden Spates, Mrs. Everlyn Spates-Brown worked as a cook at Colonial Palms, Pompano Beach, Florida.
Predeceased by her parents, Preacher and Hetter Spates, her husband Willie James Brown; her daughter Debra Brown; two sons Robert Lee Brown and Larry Brown; her four sisters Emma McFadden, Eloise Felder, Thelma McFadden, and Flora James; and her four brothers Fred Spates, Wesley Spates, Bennie Spates and David Spates.
Mrs. Everlyn Spates-Brown leaves to cherish her precious memory to her daughters Wilette Brown, of Providence, Rhode Island, Delores Daniel of Mebane, North Carolina, Janett Delgado of Brockton, Massachusetts, and Shirley Green of Burlington, North Carolina; her son James E. Brown of Fall River, Massachusetts; her sister Letha Virginia Oatts, of Pompano Beach, Florida; her brother Ernest Spates; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cherished friends.
Family visitation viewing for Mrs. Everlyn Spates-Brown will be on Saturday, February 15, 2025; from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Everlyn Spates-Brown will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, February 15, 2025; in John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Interment for Mrs. Everlyn Spates-Brown will be on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 12 Noon in the Johnson Family Cemetery in Yanceyville, NC.
