Mrs. Gladys Blackwell Millner

Dry Fork, Va. - Mrs. Gladys Blackwell Millner, 92, formerly of Dry Fork, VA, peacefully transitioned on September 28, 2024, at Pine Forest Assisted Living Facility in Reidsville, North Carolina. Gladys was born on July 2, 1932, in Caswell County, North Carolina, to the late Mr. Langston Blackwell and Mrs.  Daisy Gunn Blackwell.

Educated in the Caswell County Public Schools, Gladys later attended beauty school at Maco for one year. She dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Brian Center in Yanceyville, North Carolina.

Gladys was of the Baptist faith and a devoted member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Providence, North Carolina. She faithfully served in the church's Nursing Ministry, as a Sunday School Teacher, and within the Missionary Circle. Additionally, she was a proud member of the Naomi Chapter No. 6 of the Order of the Eastern Stars.

Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Millner; parents and two sisters, Beatrice Williamson and Florine McGraw, Gladys leaves to cherish her memory two sisters: Mildred Findlay of Yanceyville, NC, and Richetta Stephens (Harold) of Danville, VA; one brother, Langston Blackwell Jr. (Carolyn) of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A Viewing will take place for Mrs. Gladys Blackwell Millner on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 10 AM to 2 PM, with family visitation from 1:30 to 2 PM.

Funeral services for Miss Gladys Blackwell Millner will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 2 PM in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
