Mrs. Jearline Jeffers Phelps

Raleigh, NC - Jearline Jeffers Phelps, 73, of 1708 Neath Hill Court transitioned peacefully on July 26, 2024, at her residence. Born on June 10, 1951, in Caswell County, she was the cherished daughter of the late Elmer Jeffers and Minnie Bee Mitchell Jeffers.

Jearline pursued higher education at St. Augustine’s College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She dedicated her professional life to working as an Accounting Specialist for CPL - Duke Project Energy, bringing precision and integrity to her role.

Jearline was a woman of faith and a member of Martin Street Baptist Church. Jearline was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Camelia “Cam” Phelps. Their union was blessed with three daughters.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Alvis Jeffers.

Jearline leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband, Cam Phelps of the home; three loving daughters, Tori  Hartsfilled (James) of Rolesville, NC, Missy Welch of Wake Forest, NC, and Tamara Giscombe (Ajamu) of Raleigh, NC; six adored grandchildren; two sisters, Ophelia J. Willis (Marvin) of Blanch, NC, and Althea J. Smiley of Greenville, SC; one brother, Onza Jeffers of Danville, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, wisdom, and grace.

Jearline’s life was a testament to her faith, love for her family, and commitment to serving others. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew her.

 Public viewing for Mrs. Jearline Jeffers Phelps will be on Thursday, August 1, 2024; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Family visitation for Mrs. Jearline Jeffers Phelps will be on Friday, August 2, 2024; from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Semora, NC.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jearline Jeffers Phelps will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
