Mrs. Laddie Mae Gravely Tinsley

Eden, NC - It is with profound sorrow that Mrs. Laddie Mae Gravely Tinsley 82 of 608 North Street Eden, North Carolina received her heavenly wings on Friday, May 29, 2026, at her residence.

Laddie, the beloved daughter of the late Percy and Mae Brown Gravely, was born on September 21,1943.

She attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Douglass High School, Class of 1961. She continued her education at Saint Augustine University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Laddie was employed at Fieldcrest Cannon and Vanity Fair prior to her retirement. She joined Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church; at an early age where she remained until her husband Reverend Dr. Walter Manuel Tinsley Sr. became pastor of White Rock Baptist Church in Danville, Virginia. When Laddie became their 1st Lady after his retirement she reunited with Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Eden, North Carolina, where she was an active member of the Usher Board and Missionary Circle.

Mrs. Laddie Mae Gravely Tinsley memories will remain in the hearts of her loved ones: her husband Reverend Dr. Walter Manuel Tinsley Sr.; two sons Walter Tinsley Jr., and Danny Tinsley (Farilica); her three sisters Majorie Clark (Preston), Iverne Broadnax, and Bonnie McPhee (Joe); her two brothers Edmund Gravely (Rochelie), and Anthony Gravely; her brother-in-law Reverend James Tinsley, and her two sisters-in-law Garnell Martin, and Emma Broadnax; her three grandchildren Walter Javon Tinsley, Dannielle Hairston, and Shannon Hairston; her five great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.

A Public viewing for Mrs. Laddie Mae Gravely Tinsley will be on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Fulton-Walton Funeral Home & Memorial Chapel of Eden; 417 Price Street, Eden, NC.

A Family visitation viewing for Mrs. Laddie Mae Gravely Tinsley will be on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 12:30pm to 1:00pm at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Eden, NC.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Laddie Mae Gravely Tinsley will be conducted at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 4, 2026; at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Eden, NC.

Interment will follow at Eden Garden Cemetery, in Eden, NC.
