Mrs. Linda Adams Dillard

Danville, Va.- It is with profound sorrow we announce  the death of Mrs. Linda Adams Dillard  of Danville, Va., who passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026  in the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va..

She was the daughter of the late Sarah Watlington and Boyce (Boy C) Bushnell born June 4,1954 in Pelham, NC.

Linda attended school in Caswell County and graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School. She furthered her education at Bennett College in Greensboro, NC. Where she received her Bachelor of Arts in 1976.

Linda pursued her career in early childhood education, where she worked in various capacities and locations in the city of Danville and Caswell County. She worked at CIC Head Start-Danville, Danville Public Schools and Caswell County Schools, where she retired from in 2015.

She joined the New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church in Ruffin, NC at early age. Where she served at the church clerk for many years. She later joined the Bennett Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Danville, VA., where she served as the secretary for the Program Committee.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by one son Cameron Lamar Adams, grandfather John (Hit) Watlington, grandmother Lucy Watlington and one uncle James Clifton Williamson, whom she cared for until her death.

She is survived by her loving husband Harry Dillard; daughters Camesha Adams; Colita Graves; Khadijah Dillard; son Alif Dillard all of Danville, VA.; brother Donald Jones(Annette) of Newark, New Jersey and host of relatives and friends.

A viewing for Mrs. Linda Adams Dillard will be Monday, July 6, 2026 from 4 pm to 6 pm in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton -Walton Funeral Home  Yanceyville, NC ( Location).

Funeral service for Mrs. Linda Adams Dillard will be Tuesday, July 7, 2026  12:00 noon at Bennett Memorial  Missionary Baptist Church 165 Levelton St. Danville, Va.  with family arriving at 11:30. Pastor Voight Hairston will deliver the words of comfort. Interment will follow in the Floral Hill Memory Gardens Danville, Va.
