Mrs. Lona Sherdean Allen Hayes

Greensboro, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Lona Sherdean Allen Hayes of Greensboro, NC, who passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Lona suffered a major stroke on Sunday April 27,2025.

Lona (Sherdean) was the beloved daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Lula C Allen of Blanch, NC.

  Survivors include her children Debra Hayes-Hughes, Alesia Fleming (Deymon Fleming, Sr.), and Norman Allen Hayes (Nikki Hayes) of Stone Mountain, GA; grandchildren: Jessica Burnett (Rufus Burnett) of Middletown CT,  Norman R. Hayes, II (Talia Hayes) of Newnan, GA, Kelsey Hayes and Deymon Fleming, Jr., of Stone Mountain, GA and Devin Scott (Canisha Scott) of Lawrenceville, GA; her precious great-grandchildren: Zori and Ella Burnett, Rhodes and Logan Hayes, Caliyah, Cassidy, and Caiah Scott; and first cousins Van (Donnie) Allen and Marreese Harris of Blanch, NC.

A viewing for Mrs. Lona Sherdean Allen Hayes will be Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 2 PM to 7PM in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Lona Sherdean Allen Hayes will be Monday, May 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12 Noon at Trinity AME Zion Church 631 E. Florida St. Greensboro, NC.

Funeral service celebrating the life and legacy of Mrs. Lona Sherdean Allen Hayes will be Monday, May 19, 2025, 12:00 Noon at Trinity AME Zion Church. Interment will follow in the River Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Blanch, NC.
