Mrs. Lucy Holloway Johnson

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Lucy Holloway Johnson of 3449 North Carolina Highway 86 North in Yanceyville, North Carolina. She passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia.

As a native and lifelong resident of Caswell County, North Carolina Lucy was born on December 31,1950 to the late Mrs. Clevie Holloway. She received her education at the Caswell County public schools and graduated from Bartlett Yancey Senior High School, Class of 1970. Shortly afterwards, she gave back to her community through her career as a secretary with the Caswell County School System for over 30 years prior to her retirement. She was known for her infectious smile and caring way that touched everyone who knew her.

Lucy was a faithful member of Bibleway Cathedral in Danville, Virginia, where she served on the Fidelity auxiliary. In her free time, she enjoyed her family, gardening, planting flowers and watching them grow.

In addition to her mother, Lucy was preceded in death by her brother Donald Dale Holloway.

Mrs. Lucy Holloway Johnson leaves to cherish her precious memories with her beloved husband of 45 years, Kenneth Johnson of the home; one brother Marion B. Holloway (Evelyne) of Reidsville, North Carolina, one nephew, Merald B. Holloway of Durham, North Carolina; one niece, Vickie Bannerman (Carlton) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; great nephew, Cam Bannerman of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a sister-in-law Alisa Johnson (Dubois) of Durham, North Carolina, a host of other nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and cherished friends.

A Family visitation/presence will be from 11:30a.m. to 12 noon prior to the Memorial Service for Mrs. Lucy Holloway Johnson in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Lucy Holloway Johnson will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, April 17, 2025; in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
