Eden, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Mary Louise Blackwell Rone 63, of 207 Madison St. Eden, NC. She passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024; at UNC Rockingham Hospital (Morehead) in Eden, North Carolina.
Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Joe Nathaniel Blackwell and Mary Sue Galloway Blackwell was born on June 14, 1961, in Rockingham County, North Carolina.
She received her education from Rockingham County Public School systems and graduated from Wentworth High School “Class of 1980” in Wentworth, North Carolina.
Mary was united in holy matrimony to the late Joe Rone in 1988.
She was of was a member of New Light Holiness Church in Madison, North Carolina at an early age. Currently, Mary was a member at Jerusalem Church of God in Christ in Eden, North Carolina, where she sang in the church choir and with “Clara Poindexter & The Spiritual Voices” until her declining health.
During her lifetime, Mary was a stay-at-home mom. She unselfishly loved laughing and having fun with friends and family in the way of traveling and going to the beach.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lucille Carter Galloway.
Mrs. Mary Louise Blackwell Rone left her legacy of love and devotion to treasure her precious memories with her daughter, Kristie Blackwell Williams of Eden, North Carolina; her son, Kane Blackwell of Madison, North Carolina; her three sisters, Levern Blackwell of Reidsville, North Carolina, and Nokmer Clegg of Raleigh, North Carolina; her brother, Nathan Leon Blackwell (Debbie) of Reidsville, North Carolina; her three beloved grand-children, Adarius Baize, Trinzail Williams, and Kayanna Blackwell; her special friend, best friend, caregiver, and lifetime companion, Vincent Baize of Eden, North Carolina; a family of the family, Wesley Slade; and a host of other siblings, other relatives, and friends.
A Public viewing for Mrs. Mary Louise Blackwell Rone will be on Friday, June 21, 2024; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fulton-Walton Memorial Eden Chapel; 417 Price Street, Eden, NC.
A Family visitation viewing for Mrs. Mary Louise Blackwell Rone will be on Saturday, June 22, 2024; from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Fulton-Walton Memorial Eden Chapel; 417 Price Street, Eden, NC.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Louise Blackwell Rone will be conducted at 3:00pm on Saturday, June 22, 2024; at Fulton-Walton Memorial Eden Chapel; 417 Price Street, Eden, NC.
