Mrs. Mary T. Long

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Mary T. Long age 91 of 351 West Church Street in Yanceyville, North Carolina. She passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at her residence.

Mary, the beloved daughter of the late Robert Totten and Rebecca Lea Totten, was born on May 02, 1934, in Caswell County, North Carolina.

As a native and lifelong resident of Caswell County, North Carolina, she attended the local public schools. Being a skilled and talented homemaker and/or housewife Mary took pride in the overseeing of the day-to-day operations of her household. Mary occasionally attended Yanceyville Missionary Baptist Church in Yanceyville, North Carolina. In her leisure she enjoyed talking and spending time with her friends and family, reading the bible, and listening to music.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Alphonza Long; her four children Ronnie, Herbert, Brenda, and Shelia Long; her sister Molly Slade; and a special son Roy Watson.

Mrs. Mary T. Long leaves to cherish her memories with her three daughters Mary E. Scott of Yanceyville, North Carolina, Ellen L. Herbin of Danville, Virginia, and Donna Marie Long of Yanceyville, North Carolina and her son William Jerry Long of Yanceyville, North Carolina, her ten grandchildren Susan Long, Dennis Long, Shaleita Long, David Garland all of Yanceyville, North Carolina, Tina Watson, Valeria Watson, Jameka Southern, LaKeisha South all of Danville, Virginia, Anthony Robertson, and Robert Robertson both of Charlotte, North Carolina; her sixteen great grandchildren; and her three great-great grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives, her special friends Lisa Redding, Tameka Plunkett, Cynthia Wilson, Gail (Rex) Boxsdale, Pat (William) Lea, Melvin Jeffries, Linda Fuller, Treva Forester, Mesha Stewart and many other cherished friends.

Family visitation viewing for Mrs. Mary T. Long will be on Tuesday, January 20, 2026; from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary T. Long will be conducted at 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026; in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Yanceyville Baptist Church Cemetery in Yanceyville, NC.
