Greensboro, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Adrienne Renee Long age 43 of 1601 Peartree Lane, Greensboro, North Carolina. She passed away on Saturday, March 08, 2025, at her residence.
Adrienne was the beloved daughter of Robert Edward Long, Sr. and Phyllis Brown Long, born on December 24, 1981, in Danville, Virginia.
As a lifelong resident of Pittsylvania County, Adrienne graduated with honors from George Washington (G.W.) High School in Danville, Virginia, in 2000. She was a member of the Alpha Diamond Sorority and participated in the College Bound program, partnering with Dr. Duane Burnette Dentistry for job training and her clinicals. Adrienne worked at Roses and Kmart for three and a half years each while earning her Dental Assistant certification. Afterwards Adrienne was hand picked to start her career at Dr. Duane Burnette Dentist Office in Danville, Virginia. She also worked part time for five and half years at Whites International Trucking Company in Greensboro, North Carolina, where Adrienne worked in the office and delivered auto parts.
Adrienne attended Sassafras Grove Baptist Church in Providence, North Carolina from a young age. She later participated in ministries like Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Danville, Virginia and Faith Community Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina with her grandmother.
From the age of three, Adrienne was known for her interest in "Old School Music" such as Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding. In her spare time, Adrienne would visit pawn shops to find old school music CDs for her collection. She also spent time playing with children of various ages; and driving anything with four wheels.
Ms. Adrienne Renee Long is survived by her beloved children Kayden Long, Kyle Galloway, and Kylee Galloway all of Danville, Virginia; her parents Robert Edward Long, Sr. and Phyllis Brown Long of Danville, Virginia; her siblings Kimberly Harris of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Robert Edward Long, Jr.(Anette) of Danville, Virginia; her uncle Lowell Brown of Greensboro, North Carolina; her nieces Kennedy Long, Kayla Long, Camryn Allen, and Kelsey Payne; cousins Clarence and Renee Moore of Hartford, Connecticut, along with other relatives, and cherished friends.
A public viewing for Ms. Adrienne Renee Long will be on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
A family visitation viewing for Ms. Adrienne Renee Long will be on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Funeral service for Ms. Adrienne Renee Long will be conducted at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Sassafras Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Yanceyville, NC.
