Ms. Annie Louise Thaxton Goza

Milton, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announced the death of Mrs. Annie Louise Thaxton Goza of 3516 Yarboroughs Mill Rd. Milton, NC who passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023; at her residence.

Annie was the daughter of the late Robert Thaxton Sr. and Carrie Jane Thaxton Wilkerson, born May 26, 1938, in Caswell County, NC.

She was a medical coordinator in New York prior to her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willie Reed Goza, Jr., four brothers: William Henry Thaxton, Robert Thaxton Jr., Owen Thaxton, and Artie Thaxton; one sister: Willie Mae Thaxton Rogers; one niece:  Pamela Ruffin; and one granddaughter:  Shana Lee Laster.

Mrs. Annie Louise Thaxton Goza leaves to cherish her memories her three daughters: Sybil (Sparkle) McFarlane and Jodi Goza both of the home, and Sesanii Goza of Blanch, NC; two step daughters: Saundra Williams (Curtis) of New York, and Kim Cotton (Alonzo) of New Jersey; one step son:  Darrell Goza of New Jersey; two brothers George Thaxton (Betty) of Blanch, NC, and Foster Crisp of Danville, VA; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; a special daughter:  Brenda Clayborne (Wayne) of Milton NC; a special son-in-law: Lawrence Jones of Oxon Hill, MD; special nieces: Latoya Boone of Portsmouth, VA, Kesha Boone of Jacksonville, FL, and Kadoda Gatlin of Brooklyn, NY; good friends:  Edith Royster of Milton, NC, Alice Parker of New York, and Ethel Lockett of NY; and a host of other family and friends.

A viewing for Mrs. Annie Louise Thaxton Goza will be Saturday, February 11, 2023; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Annie Louise Thaxton Goza will be Sunday, February 12, 2023; at 2:30pm at Macedonia AME Church, in Milton. Interment will follow at Macedonia AME Church Cemetery in Milton, NC.
