Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Barbara Lucille Foster Redding of 803 Blackwell Road, in Yanceyville, North Carolina She passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at her residence.
Ms. Barbara Lucille Foster Redding, the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Willie Green Foster and Mrs. Wilhemina Adelaide Blackwell Foster, was born on December 02, 1939, in Caswell County, North Carolina.
After graduating from Caswell County Schools, Barbara decided to give back to her community by being a cook at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Yanceyville, North Carolina. She was passionate and dedicated in preparing nutritious meals, following dietary guidelines, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and collaborating with staff to meet their residents' needs.
Spiritually, Barbara was a faithful member of Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church in Yanceyville, North Carolina. Her favorite pastimes were listening to gospel music on the radio, walking, especially to her sister’s house, and watching cartoons.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her one sister, Carolyn Foster Fuller; her five brothers, Willie Foster, Weldon Foster, Ulysses Foster, Aubrey Foster, and John David Foster.
Ms. Barbara Lucille Foster Redding leaves to cherish her memories with her devoted daughter Lisa Redding Richardson (Berkley) of Yanceyville, North Carolina; her two loving sons Craig Redding of New Mexico, and Christopher Redding of Yanceyville, North Carolina; her one sister Norma Foster of Yanceyville, North Carolina; her three grandchildren Melissa Redding who was raised by her grandmother and later had the honor of taking care of her grandmother in her home, Lamar Redding, and James Redding; her seven great-grandchildren Jamarcus Kirkland and Britney Totten who both were raised by their great-grandmother and later had the honor of taking care of their great-grandmother in her home, Kamiyah Logan, Ja’Quan Redding, Jayden Swain, Deshaun Redding, and Ashanti Morales; her two great great-grandchildren Jairae Kirkland, and Navaeeah Kirkland; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.
A public viewing for Ms. Barbara Foster Redding will be on Sunday, December 28, 2025; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Ms. Barbara Foster Redding will be conducted at 1:00pm on Monday, December 29, 2025; in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
