Blanch, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Benita Willis Moore 63 of 4356 County Home Road, Blanch, North Carolina. She passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at her residence.
Benita, the beloved daughter of Ruby Neal Willis Mitchell and the late James Willis, was born on August 18, 1962, in Rockingham, County, North Carolina.
She attended the Caswell County public schools and graduated from Bartlett Yancey Senior High School, Class of 1980 in Yanceyville, North Carolina. Benita continued her education at Piedmont Community College in Yanceyville, North Carolina, where she received her certification in Billing and Medical Coding.
Shortly afterwards, Benita pursued her career as a Billing Specialist at LabCorp in Burlington, North Carolina for more than 20 years. At an early age, she accepted Christ at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Reidsville, North Carolina. Benita later moved her membership to New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Milton, North Carolina, where Benita served on the usher board.
Benita’s favorite pastimes were spending time with family and friends, where she showed appreciation and gratitude by sending daily text messages. She also enjoyed preserving thousands of memories through family pictures and watching the Dallas Cowboys. She was extremely generous and never met a stranger and will be missed dearly.
In addition to her father, Benita was preceded in death by her son Jarrell Willis.
Ms. Benita Willis Moore leaves to cherish her precious memories with her two children Justin Moore, and JaTashia Moore; her beloved mother Ruby Neal Willis Mitchell all of Blanch, North Carolina; her three sisters Vanessa Clay of Yanceyville, North Carolina, Amy Mitchell-Chandler of Burlington, North Carolina, and Alexis Lucas (Jeffrey) of Greensboro, North Carolina; her two brothers Reginald Willis (Linda) of Reidsville, North Carolina and James Willis of Greenville, South Carolina; her two stepsisters Gwendolyn McCain of New Jersey, and Ivory Jean Adams of Danville, Virginia; her stepbrother Clifton Mitchell of Baltimore, Maryland; her seven aunts Nina Heywood of Danville, Virginia, Sandra Baldwin of Greensboro, North Carolina, Eunice Neal of Eden, North Carolina, Carolyn Wilson of California, Jean Pickard and Mary Jane Neal both of Reidsville, North Carolina, and Ann Neal of Stoneville, North Carolina; her uncle Marvin Willis (Ophelia) of Blanch, North Carolina; her nephew and a host of nieces, other loving relatives, her godson Shawn Griffith of Yanceyville, North Carolina; her close friends Laura Mitchell (Michael) of Blanch, North Carolina, and Karen Wilson of Yanceyville, North Carolina; and her many other cherished friends.
Public viewing for Ms. Benita Willis Moore will be on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Family visitation viewing for Ms. Benita Willis Moore will be on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Milton, NC.
Funeral Services for Ms. Benita Willis Moore will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 13, 2026, at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Milton, NC.
Interment will follow in the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Milton, North Carolina.
