Ms. Doris C. Hairston

Eden, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Doris Hairston age 83 of 912 Burton Street, Eden, North Carolina. She passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Doris was a native of Rockingham County, North Carolina, born on July 07, 1942, to the late R.J. Clodfelter and Minnie Clodfelter.

She received her education from the local public schools and graduated from the Douglas School. Doris furthered her education by receiving her Cosmetology license under the leadership of Mrs. Hubbard, who was her instructor and licensee.

Doris was also a Dietician at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Eden, North Carolina prior to her retirement. She was responsible for creating individual nutrition plans and nutritional assessments for the residents, to meet their dietary needs for health and recovery.

She was a member of Shady Grove Christian Church in Eden, North Carolina. During her leisure time, she particularly appreciated completing her puzzle books and attending to her hair and nails.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her one sister Elberta C. Johnson; and her brother Robert Lee Clodfelter; along with her pet dog FeeFee.

Ms. Doris Hairston leaves to cherish her precious memories with her two nephews Alexander Johnson (Cindy), and Johnnie Johnson (Dee) all of Eden, North Carolina; her devoted niece, Chapaign Johnson of Reidsville, North Carolina; along with other nieces; nephews; other relatives, and friends,

A public viewing for Ms. Doris A. Hairston will be on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 2 pm to 7 pm at the Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel located at 417 Price Street in Eden, NC.

Funeral service for Ms. Doris A. Hairston will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel located at 417 Price Street in Eden, NC.

Interment will follow in the Eden Garden Cemetery, in Eden, NC.
