Ms. Geraldine Turner

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Geraldine Turner 54, 645 Cobb Road of Yanceyville, North Carolina. She passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Duke University Medical Center, in Durham, North Carolina.

Geraldine was the daughter of the late Willie Junior Turner and Esther Marie Scales Turner born on April 10, 1970, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  She was a native of Caswell County and graduated from Bartlett Yancey Senior High School, in Yanceyville, North Carolina.

Shortly afterwards, Geraldine worked for various Fast-Food Restaurants. She later became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and remained in that field until she was disabled. Geraldine was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, in Yanceyville, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Patrick Austin, Sr., and her brother Wesley Richmond, Jr.

Ms. Geraldine Turner leaves to cherish her memories with her son, Nathaniel Patrick Austin, Jr. of Yanceyville, North Carolina; two brothers, Willie Lee Turner, and Gerald Turner (Nikki) all of Yanceyville, North Carolina; an aunt, Helen Mae Turner of Yanceyville, North Carolina; four nieces; three nephews great nieces, KaLeyah, and Kalese “Known as K”; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

A Public viewing for Ms. Geraldine Turner will be on Monday, September 23, 2024; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral.

Funeral Services for Ms. Geraldine Turner will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024; at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, in Yanceyville, North Carolina; where Pastor Reginald Coleman will deliver the ‘Words of Comfort”.

Interment will follow at Providence Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Yanceyville, North Carolina.
