Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Helen Jane Hunt of 132 Main Street, Yanceyville, North Carolina. She passed away on Wednesday, March 05, 2025, at her residence.
Born on December 12, 1950, in Caswell County, North Carolina; Helen was the daughter of the late Sam Pete Hunt, Sr. and Matilda Clayborne Hunt. After attending the local public school system, she later became employed and retired as a housekeeper with White Oak Manor in Burlington, North Carolina.
Helen was a member Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Pelham, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents Helen was preceded in death by her siblings Lorene Hodnett, Richard Hunt, Willie Haywood Hunt, Sam Pete Hunt, Jr. and Nathaniel Hunt; two brothers-in-law Douglas Barton, and Melvin Goodie.
Helen Jean Hunt leaves to cherish her memories with her beloved children Michelle Campbell of East Orange, New Jersey and Angelo Hunt (Tia) of Bowie, Maryland; her three sisters Elizabeth Young (Earl) of Carteret, New Jersey, Shirley Barton and Mattie Goodie both of Yanceyville, North Carolina; her sister-in-law Barbara Ann Hunt of Danville, Virginia; and a host of other relatives; and friends who will truly miss her.
A public viewing for Ms. Helen Jane Hunt will be on Friday, March 14, 2025; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Family visitation for Ms. Helen Jane Hunt will be on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mineral Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Pelham, NC.
Funeral service for Ms. Helen Jane Hunt will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Mineral Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Pelham, NC.
Interment will follow at Mineral Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelham, North Carolina.
