Ruffin, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Mary Louise Farrish Dejournette 64 of 711 Goose Pond Road, Ruffin, North Carolina. She passed away on Sunday May 03, 2026, at Ancora Compassionate Care Hospice in Wentworth, North Carolina.
Mary, affectionately known as “Polly” was the beloved daughter of the late William Albert Farrish Sr and Ida Mae Graves Dixon Farrish, born on February 05, 1962; in Caswell County, North Carolina.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Caswell County, where Mary received her education and attended Bartlett Yancey Senior High School in Yanceyville, North Carolina. Mary was a loving housewife who enjoyed cooking, and eating what she prepared with family and friends, along with watching her soap operas. Mary loved going to church, where she was a faithful member of Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church in Pelham, North Carolina.
The Lord welcomed Mary home to join her parents; along with her husband Ray Charles Dejournette; her two sisters Mary Jane Dixon and Wanda Faye Farrish; and her two brothers Harrell Dixon and Dennis Morris Farrish who all preceded her in death.
Ms. Mary Louise Farrish Dejournette leaves to cherish her memories with her son Aundra Lee Farrish of Eden, North Carolina; her five sisters Betty Carolyn Washington of White Plains, New York, Diane Dixon Gwynn (Robert), Brenda Kaye Hairston all of Ruffin, North Carolina, Debra Ann Farrish Thornton (Kenneth) of Yanceyville, North Carolina, and Lucy Marie Farrish Johnson of Waldorf, Maryland; her five brothers, John Edward Farrish (Veronica), Bobby Joe Farrish all of Danville, Virginia, Walter Douglas Farrish of Graham, North Carolina, Azzie Mason Farrish, and William Albert Farrish Jr. all of Reidsville, North Carolina; her two grandchildren, her two great-grandchildren, and her two bonus grandchildren; her special friend “Molly” and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.
A Public viewing for Ms. Mary Louise Farrish Dejournette will be on Friday, May 15, 2026; from 2:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
A Family visitation viewing for Ms. Mary Louise Farrish Dejournette will be on Saturday, May 16, 2026; from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. at Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church in Pelham, NC.
Funeral Services for Ms. Mary Louise Farrish Dejournette will be conducted at 11:00am on Saturday, May 16, 2026; at Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church in Pelham, NC.
Interment will follow at Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelham, NC.
