Eden, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Nettie Ann Covington of 110 North Rickman Street in Eden, North Carolina. She passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Duke University Medical Center, in Durham, North Carolina.
Ann was born on March 7, 1955, to the late Warren Thomas Covington and Geneva Mitchell Badgett Covington in Rockingham County, North Carolina.
As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, Ann attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Reidsville Senior High School, class of 1973. She was a retiree of Miller Brewing Company in Eden, North Carolina after 38 years of service. Spiritually, Ann is a former member of Rocky Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. Her favorite Scripture was John 3:16- “For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. She had made this profession.
She will be remembered as a very independent woman who loved to work. Ann was an avid bowler and had earned many bowling trophies. She had several bowling balls that were custom made for her.
James Alexander, the love of Ann’s life, was her constant companion and took exceptional care of her. He will miss her tremendously.
In addition to her parents who preceded her in death were her siblings Warren Thomas, Jr., William Andre, and Charles Lee.
Ms. Nettie Ann Covington's surviving relatives to cherish her memory include: three sisters Darlene C. Clark (Ronnie), Debra C. Allen (Tony), and Alice “Candy” Marie Covington, one brother Kenneth L. Covington (Charlene), one aunt Della Covington, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, including two best friends Anna Harris and Laugretta Martin, and many other cherish friends.
The family may receive visitors beginning Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, from 2pm to 6pm daily at the residence of her sister and brother-in-law, Darlene Covington Clark & Ronnie Clark at 1161 Boyd Road in Reidsville, NC.
A public viewing for Ms. Nettie Ann Covington will be Friday, October 24, 2025, from 2 pm to 7 pm at Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel 417 Price St. Eden, NC
Family visitation viewing for Ms. Nettie Ann Covington will be on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 12:30p.m. to 1:00p.m. at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Reidsville, NC.
Funeral service for Ms. Nettie Ann Covington will be Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Reidsville, NC.
