Ms. Ruth Brown

Mebane, NC - Our Heavenly Father saw that Ms. Ruth Brown at age 76 had grown tired and welcomed her into eternal rest. On Friday, February 28, 2025, Ruth completed her earthly journey peacefully at her residence of 5414 Burton Chapel Road, Mebane, North Carolina departed this life surrounded with loved ones by her side.

Ruth was the cherished daughter of the late Eulius Clifton Brown and Mary Bell Sellars Brown, born on November 16, 1948, in Caswell County, North Carolina.

As a native and lifelong resident, she attended local public schools and graduated from Caswell County Training School in Yanceyville, North Carolina. Subsequently, Ruth proudly served her country as a veteran of the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. Later in her career, she worked on the administrative staff at Durham VA Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, until her retirement.

Ruth was a dedicated member of Corbett Memorial Baptist Church in Pelham, North Carolina, where she sang in the adult choir. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and dining out together.

Ruth was predeceased by her parents and her siblings: Annie Mae Brown Gunn, Lucille Brown Watlington, Elijah Brown, and Charlie Brown.

Ms. Ruth Brown leaves behind to cherish her precious memories with her two sisters Catherine Brown Stadler of Mebane, North Carolina, and Gloria Jean Brown Stadler (AL-Lee) of Tampa, Florida; her brother Clifton Brown of Mebane, North Carolina; and a host of other loving relatives, church family, and many cherished friends.

A public viewing for Ms. Ruth Brown will be on Wednesday, March 05, 2025; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Ms. Ruth Brown will be conducted at 2:00pm on Thursday March 06, 2025, at Corbett Memorial Baptist Church, in Pelham, NC.

Interment will follow at Corbett Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelham, NC.
