Eden, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Shantay Renee Hairston 46, of 226 Peter Hill Rd. Eden, NC, who passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, in the Forsyth Medical Center Winston-Salem, NC.

She was a native of Rockingham County, NC the daughter of the late David King Hairston and Rose Hairston, born March 12, 1978. she was of the Baptist faith and was an employee of Weil McClain Company in Eden, NC, before she became disabled.

Her survivors are daughter, Lasha M. Hairston of Eden, NC; three sisters, Selina Bethel (Eddie) and Shelby Milton all of Eden, NC, Mia Milton of Georgetown, SC; two brothers, Patrick Milton of Eden, NC and Christopher Wright of Brown Summit, NC; Stepfather, George Hampton of Danville, Va.; God daughter, Jasmine Johnson of Eden, NC; Uncle, Willie Hairston of Baltimore, MD; Special Friend, Timothy Glass of Eden, NC.; three grandchildren, Raquan Millner, Taquan Scales, and Michael Meadows; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Public viewings for Ms. Shantay Hairston will be Friday, June 7, 2024; from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 4pm to 7pm at Fulton-Walton Memorial Eden Chapel; 417 Price Street, Eden, NC 27288.

Funeral Services for Ms. Shantay Hairston will be conducted Sunday, June 9, 2024, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel, 417 Price Street, Eden, NC. Rev. William Wilson will deliver the words of comfort.
