Cascade VA - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Sheila Theresa Smith 69, of 312 Tender Lane Cascade, Virginia. She passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Sheila, the beloved daughter of the late Waddell Smith who preceded her in death and Nancy Hairston Smith Phillips who followed her in death. She was born on September 05, 1956, in Rockingham County, North Carolina.

She received her education from the local public school system, and she was also of the Baptist faith. Sheila was employed at the Board of Global Ministries as a Record Clerk.

Ms. Sheila Theresa Smith leaves to cherish her memories with her daughter Summer Theresa Green of Eden, North Carolina; her son Robert Loren Green (Lekisha) of Middletown, New York; her brother Victor Smith of New York; her seven grandchildren; her three great grandchildren; her one niece, aunts, uncles, and a host of other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.

A public viewing for Ms. Sheila Theresa Smith will be on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel located at 417 Price St. Eden, NC.

Family visitation for Ms. Sheila Theresa Smith will be on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 12:30pm to 1:00pm at Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service for Ms. Sheila Theresa Smith will be Friday, January 2, 2026, at 1:00pm at Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Robert and Estelle Hairston Family Cemetery in Cascade, Virginia.
