Yanceyville, NC - Mrs. Wanda Fort Simpson of Yanceyville, North Carolina, passed away on March 24, 2026, at Yanceyville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
She was born on April 28, 1963, in Washington, D.C., to Mr. Hosie Lee Ward and Mrs. Alfreda Fort Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dino Simpson.
Wanda served in the United States Army and was later employed in medical transport.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sisters, Kay King of Milton, North Carolina, and Eva Wimbush of Danville, Virginia; and one brother, Alfred Harrison of Yanceyville, North Carolina.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
