Winston-Salem – NC It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Wanda Faye Graves of 5560 Regent Village Drive, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at her residence.
Wanda was born on December 04, 1954, in Reidsville, North Carolina to the late Walter Webster Graves and Queen Veola Willis Graves. She was a lifelong resident of Caswell County North Carolina, where Wanda attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Bartlett Yancey High School, Class of 1973. She furthered her education at Winston-Salem State University, where she received her Bachelor Science degree in Business Administration and she pledged and became a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority. During their high school and college years, Wanda met and married the love of her life, the late Ralph Graves.
She was a licensed health and life insurance agent for many years and she was also a devoted employee for Carol Woods Retirement Community in Carrboro, North Carolina, where she retired. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and joined New Ephesus Baptist Church in Ruffin, North Carolina. In later years, Wanda was a member of New World Outreach in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In her spare time Wanda took delight in sending holiday cards for every occasion. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, baking, and hosting Christmas functions that made everyone feel special during that joyous time.
In her transition Wanda joins her parents and her beloved husband Ralph Graves, and her brother Carlyle Graves.
Ms. Wanda Faye Graves leaves to cherish her memories with her children Tiffany Graves and Ralph Graves, II both of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; her two sisters Loretta Graves Daye (Thurmond) of Gibsonville, North Carolina, and Pauline Graves Williamson (Reverend James) of Elon, North Carolina; her brother David Webster Graves (Dorothy) of Yanceyville, North Carolina; her grandson Jren Little and her great-granddaughter Naomi whom she loved dearly; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.
The family visitation for Ms. Wanda Faye Graves will be on Friday, July 18, 2025; from 12:30p.m. to 1:00p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Memorial Services for Ms. Wanda Faye Graves will be conducted at 1:00pm on Friday, July 18, 2025; in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Words of Comfort will be delivered by Associate Minister James Williamson of McLeansville First Baptist Church.
