Burlington, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Namir Kai Anthony Spencer age 4 of 1876 Northside Drive in Burlington, North Carolina. He passed away on Friday, January 02, 2026, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Namir, the beloved son of Nathaniel Spencer and Tasiyah Sutton, who was born on October 12, 2021, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Our family was not expecting the loss of Namir or for his life to be cut so short so soon. We are devastated by this loss and will feel the absence of Namir forever. Namir was feisty and was known for giving you the “Mean Side Eye” but without a doubt the most loving child this world could ask for. He enjoyed watching Ms. Rachel, Gracie’s Corner, and Mickey Mouse. The impression Namir left on our lives will never be forgotten.

Namir will always be remembered by his parents Nathaniel Spencer and Tasiyah Sutton along with his brother Nathaniel Braylen-Amir Spencer all from Burlington, North Carolina; his maternal grandparents Alexander Sr., and Krystal Mosley both of North Augusta, South Carolina; his paternal grandmother Camisha Spencer; of Yanceyville, North Carolina; his paternal great grandparents Dorothy Graves (David) both of Yanceyville, North Carolina; his maternal great grandmother Marie Hightower of Kinston, North Carolina; his maternal great-great grandmother Diane Edwards of Texas; his two paternal great-great grandmothers Mary Stokes Turner, and Jessie Totten both of Yanceyville, North Carolina; his two aunts Alexis Mosley, and Aleah Mosley; his two uncles Kevin Mosley and Alexander Mosley, Jr., all from North Augusta, South Carolina, and Uncle PeeWee of Yanceyville, North Carolina; a special cousin Nichole Jones of Burlington, North Carolina; along with a host of other loving relatives who knew and loved Namir.

A celebration of life Service for Namir Kai Anthony Spencer will be Sunday, January 18, 2026, 1:00 pm in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home 219 Dillard School Dr. Yanceyville, NC.
