McLeansville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Natasha Graves Covington 46, of 5505 East Hiddenbrook Dr. McLeansville, NC, who passed away on Monday, April 03, 2023; in the Beacon Place (Authora Care Hospice) Greensboro, NC.
Natasha Yolanda Graves was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on March 08, 1977.
Natasha attended Northeast Senior High School. She graduated from Alamance Community College with an Associate in Medical Laboratory Technology, which is when she started her professional career. Natasha also graduated from Winston Salem State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. She also received her Master's in Healthcare Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
Natasha worked for Cone Health and NC A&T State University for many years. She enjoyed working in the lab reporting patient results.
Natasha was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, David, and Parthenia Graves; her daughter, Tia L. Hamer; her mother, Pamela Baker Sullivan; her aunts, Mary Graves, Patricia Clack, and Hattie Graves, her prayer warrior, Pastor Nick Reed; and LaDonna Covington the mother of their daughter, Brandolyn.
Natasha, left behind to honor her memories to her husband, Rayburn Covington, her children, Brandolyn Covington, Tyronne Hamer, Tiasia Hamer, and Tyla Hamer; her father, Donald Ray Graves; her grand-children, Malachi Hamer , Peyton Hamer, Jax Hamer, and Preston Dewitt, her sister, Latiesha Graves Summers (Ricky) “which Ricky was more like a brother”; her sister-in-law, Bula Legrand (Michael), her brothers-in-law, Chris Covington (Rochelle), and John Covington. her nieces, Ericka Summers, Vicki Summers, Maria Summers, Ricki Summers, Tammy York (Kal), and Ariel Bower (Landis); her great nieces, and her nephews, Tiara Watkins, Kayla Watkins, Terrance Watkins, and Jaylen Brown. Natasha will also be missed dearly by the house crew, which is Debra Foust, Gina Clack, Chandra Graves, Angie Graves Owens, Jamie Foust, and Ami Foust. Natasha also has a bunch of aunts, uncles, cousins, and her sister cousin, Mico Ancrum her friends, Tenisha Kelly (Ricky), Crystal Jackson, Kimberly Benton, Shemeka Davis, Charise Saigo (Sharwyn), Natasha Moore, Kelli Cooper (Damon), Candice Livingston her prayer warriors, Annie Reed, Mrs. Sheila, G’Mom, and Sandy that are left behind to cherish all her memories.
A viewing for Mrs. Natasha Graves Covington will be Monday, April 10, 2023; from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at East White Oak Baptist Church, 1815 Water Street, Greensboro, NC 27405.
