Nathaniel Hall

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announced the death of  Chairman of Caswell County Commissioners, Mr. Nathaniel Hall of 1220 Marshall Graves Rd. Yanceyville, NC, who passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at his residence. 

He was the son of the late Herman Hall and Addie Mae Walters Hall, born June 30, 1948, in Lumberton, NC.

Nate as he was called by many, was a graduate of North Carolina Central University, where he received a BA degree in accounting . He first worked as an Internal Auditor for Firestone, before returning back to North Carolina and taking a position as a  Controller at NCCU and later Director of contracts, grants and university  finances  at North Carolina A & T State University, Greensboro.

Nate was Chairman of the Caswell County Commissioners and a member of many organizations such as Piedmont Triad Council of Government and many  more organizations on the state and local level. He opened up Hearthstone Youth Family Service a level 3 group home for boys and he also expanded in other health services to help with the people in the Caswell community and surrounding areas, such as EPIC OF CASWELL, INC., a nonprofit organization in the county.

He was an avid reader and loved photography and loved traveling with his beloved wife to many different states and countries.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Christopher Hall; one sister, Renee Hall.

He leaves to cherish his memories wife,  Dr. LaCheata Graves Hall of the home; stepson, David C. Smith ( Lelia); two sisters, Betty Hall Addison of Baltimore, MD and Tammie Hall Jones (Michael) of Richmond, VA.; two brothers, Herman J Hall (Gail) of Whitsett, NC and Thomas Hall (Adriana) of Richmond, VA. very dear friend, Tony Gregory of Greensboro, NC; three grandchildren, David Alexander Smith of Texas, Ciera T. Smith of NYU and Aspen Rose Smith of New York; sister-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Mr. Nathaniel Hall will be Lying in Repose for viewing on Friday, January 20, 2023; from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM at the Caswell County Civic Center in Yanceyville, NC.

Family Visitation for Mr. Nathaniel Hall will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Funeral Services for Mr. Nathaniel Hall will be Friday, January 20, 2023; at 2:00 PM at the Caswell County Civic Center in Yanceyville, NC.

Interment will follow at the Graves Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Yanceyville, NC.
