Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Queen Delois Southern age 60, of 1086 Main Street, who passed away, Thursday, January 07, 2021 at the Brian Center Nursing Home in Yanceyville, North Carolina.
Queen was born on July 17, 1960 to the late Jack Southern and Mary Farmer Southern in Reidsville, North Carolina.
Queen was educated in the public county school system. She accepted Christ and was a member of Yanceyville Missionary Baptist Church in Yanceyville, North Carolina. Queen was a fun and loving person who was a homemaker for her family. Some of Queen’s pastimes were fishing, playing cards, and having fun (carry on and/or talking junk) with her family and friends.
Ms. Queen Delois Southern leaves to cherish her memories to her: one son, Jimmy Southern of Harrisburg, Virginia; two daughters, Lakeesha Southern of Yanceyville, North Carolina, and Jimeka Southern of Danville, Virginia; two brothers, Joe Garry (Hazel) of Danville, Virginia, and Elijah Southern of High Point, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a multitude of cherished friends.
Memorial Services for Ms. Queen Delois Southern will be Saturday, January 16, 2021; 1:00 pm at Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Reverend Paul Robinson will deliver the words of comfort.
