Richard Mitchell

Blanch, NC -  It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Richard Mitchell of 4292 County Home Rd. Blanch, NC , who passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at his residence.

Richard was the son of the late Leonard Mitchell, Sr. and Susie Stewart Mitchell Long; born January 13,1946; in Caswell County, North Carolina.

Richard was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, in Scottsburg, Virginia.

Richard was also employed with Burlington Finishing Plant in Burlington, North Carolina prior to his retirement.

In addition to Richard’s parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Mitchell Jr.

Mr. Richard Mitchell leaves to cherish his beloved memories to his wife, Annie Celestine Arnold Mitchell of the home; two stepsons, Doug Coleman (Deborah) of Alton, Virginia, and Kevin Coleman (Miki) of Suffolk Virginia; one sister, Martha Jeffries of Blanch, North Carolina; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The Family is receiving guest at his residence (Facial Masks are required).

Memorial Service for Mr. Richard Mitchell will be Sunday, January 30, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home, Pastor Anthony Jones of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Virginia will deliver the words of comfort.  (Facial Masks are required).
