Robert Brown Obituary

Mr. Robert Lee Brown was born on June 06, 1944 to the late Glennie and Mamie Graves Brown in Caswell County, North Carolina. He   departed his earthly life, and passed away peacefully surrounded by family, for his heavenly home on April 22, 2020.

Robert attended the public schools of Caswell County, North Carolina. He was a member of Graves Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he lifted up the name of Jesus by serving as a piano player for over 55 years. Over the past 20 years Robert drove both the high school and elementary school buses for Caswell and Alamance counties. He was also a retiree of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, in Danville, Virginia. Robert’s favorite pastime was teaching other inspiring music students how to play the piano (he taught many students over the years), along with relaxing at any fishing spot that he could find!

In addition to Robert’s parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Phoebe Long Brown; and his second wife, Hattie Kittrell Brown; two grandchildren; three sisters, Ethelene Gunn, Helen Gunn, and Glossie Bell Henderson; three brothers, Houston, Hoston, and Joe Eddie Brown.

Mr. Robert Lee Brown leaves to cherish his memories to his one son, Dennis Lee Brown (Jeanette) of Blairs, Virginia; three daughters, Sheryl Miles of the home; Kristi Brown, and Melanie Brown both of Charlotte, North Carolina; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mayrine Gwynn of Yanceyville, North Carolina and Luella Cole of Greensboro, North Carolina; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
