Blanch, NC – It is profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Roosevelt Long of 1907 Slade Rd. Blanch, NC, who passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022; at the Brian Center in Yanceyville, NC.
Roosevelt was the son of the late Henry C. Long, Sr. and Mrs. Mae Frances McCain Long; born on February 05, 1943; in Caswell County, North Carolina. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, Roosevelt was preceded in death by his one sister; Annie Sue Long Alexander; three brothers, Henry Long, Jr., Willie James Long, and John Lewis Long.
Mr. Roosevelt Long leaves to cherish his memories to his eight sisters, Mary Robinson of Charlotte, NC, Rose P. Smith (Steven) of Pelham, NC, Rev. Clara Merritt of Baltimore, MD; Dr. Margaret Graves (Derrick) of Brown Summit, NC; Minister Donna Morgan of Leasburg, NC; Dorothy Long of Plainfield, N.J.; Deborah Willard of Leasburg, NC and Shelia Lockhart of Charlotte, NC.; five brothers, David Long (Rev. Mary) of High Point, NC; Bobby Long (Mary) of Ruffin, NC; Minister Archie Long of Blanch, NC; Larry C. Long (Catherine) of Danville VA and Michael Long of Wilmington, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Viewing for Mr. Roosevelt Long will be Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Funeral Service for Mr. Roosevelt Long will be Friday November 18, 2022, at 1:00pm in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
