Ruth L. Graves

Reidsville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announced the death of Ms. Ruth L. Graves of 1233 Stoney Creek School Rd. Reidsville, NC, who passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in the AuthoraCare Collective Hospice Home in Burlington, NC.

She was a native of Caswell County, NC the daughter of the late Percy Allen Graves and Martha Motley Graves, born March 1, 1933. She was a graduate of Caswell County Training School and also attended Shaw University in Raleigh, NC.

Ruth was a member of Jones Crossroad Missionary Baptist Church and was an employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company before retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Ilean Graves; eight brothers, William Allen Graves, James Graves, Spencer Graves, George Herbert Graves, Lloyd Graves, Floyd Graves, Carl Graves and Ted Graves; two sisters, Dorothy Mae Graves and Evelyn Graves Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Richard Allen Graves of Reidsville, NC; one sister, Mattie Elois Lettley (George) of Reidsville, NC; three grandchildren, Erika Bigelow (Anthony) of Reidsville, NC, D 'Arnold Graves of Thomasville, NC and Mychael Graves (Rashonna) of Yanceyville, NC; twelve great grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be Friday, June 16, 2023; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. 

Funeral Services for Ms. Ruth Lee Graves will be Saturday, June 17, 2023; 1:00 p.m.  with family arriving 12:30 at Jones Crossroad Missionary Baptist Church, Reidsville, NC.

Interment will follow in the Jones Crossroad Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.
