Milton, NC- It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Sarah Mitchell Long of 422 Hudson Rd. Milton, NC, who passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023, at her residence.
She was born in Caswell County, North Carolina on January 14, 1940; to the late John Henry Mitchell and Esther Baynes Mitchell.
Sarah retired from North Carolina Caswell County Schools and Dan River Mills in Danville, Virginia.
She was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Semora, North Carolina.
Sarah’s favorite pastimes were filling out puzzle books and watching television.
In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband Edward Long; and her son, Anthony Long.
Ms. Sarah Mitchell Long leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter: Jennifer Long of Miami, Florida; three Sisters: Betty Bunn, Dora Mitchell of Leasburg, NC, and Eloise Mitchell; two Grandchildren: April Long, and Jordan Nteun; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many friends.
Memorial Services for Ms. Sarah Mitchell Long will be Sunday, January 29, 2023; at 2:00pm in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral.
