Milton NC -It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Tevin Nathaniel Thaxton. Tevin was born on March 6, 1992, and he entered eternal rest on, Saturday, January 27, 2024. Tevin attended the Caswell County School System and graduated from Bartlett Yancey Senior High, class of 2010.
At an early age Tevin was baptized and became a member of Macedonia AME Church in Milton, NC. Tevin was an avid member of the Male chorus, youth choir, and auxiliary board. He was loved by many and spread as much love as he could to all he met.
After graduating high school, Tevin went on to make a living and was currently employed by Vesuvius where he exceled at his job and was quickly promoted to become team leader.
In his spare time Tevin was a major sports fanatic. He was a New Orleans Saints fan, Duke Blue Devils, and Boston Celtics fan as well,
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Owen Thaxton, Sr., Barbara Hamlett, and Earl Hamlett.
Tevin leaves to cherish his memories include his parents, Owen and Stella Hamlett Thaxton, of the home; his brother, Shelton Thaxton (Brittany) of Reidsville, NC.; three nieces, Karson and Kyndall Thaxton and Victoria Hightower of Reidsville, NC; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Thaxton, of Milton, NC.; uncles, Rev. Gordon Hamlett (Marchenia), Earl Louis Hamlett, Robert Thaxton (Tonya), Danny Stewart (Naomi), and James Thaxton; aunts, Helen Street, Laura Royster (Bobby), and Jackie Hamlett; great uncles, George Thaxton (Betty), David Royster (Edna); George Womack (Lois), Leroy Womack (Annie) and Dean Turner (Belinda); God mother, Kriste Morgan of Turberville, Va.; God daughter, Cataleya Swanson of Blanch, NC; two God sisters, Jasmine Wilson Swanson of Blanch, NC and Miranda Wilson of Yanceyville. NC; a host of other relatives, and friends.
A viewing for Mr. Tevin Nathaniel Thaxton will be Friday, February 2, 2024; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Funeral service for Mr. Tevin Nathaniel Thaxton will be Saturday, February 3, 2024; 1:00 pm at Macedonia AME Church with family arriving at 12:30. Interment will follow in the Macedonia AME Church Cemetery Milton, NC.
