Roxboro, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Tevin Ta’Quan Stewart, age 25, of 514 Jones Street, Roxboro NC, who passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at his residence.
He was born to Howard Stewart Jr. and Tasha D. Stewart on March 7, 1997.
Tevin was very devoted to his family and friends. He was a proud brother and role model for his nieces and nephews. He found love in Zaria, who also helped care for him. He always greeted you with a loving smile and filled the air with his warm and kind spirit.
He graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School in June 2015. As a student athlete he excelled on and off the basketball court. In addition, he was also a member of the Bucs football team. But basketball was his passion! During the summer he was member of several AAU basketball teams. His passion for basketball continued at the collegiate level. He was a member of the men’s basketball team at GTCC and Davidson Community College.
Early in life, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, in Semora, NC. Tevin was enrolled at Piedmont Community College, majoring in Megatronics. He was looking forward to starting his career in the tech industry.
Tevin will be remembered for his love for basketball, football, being in the country, video games, his humble spirit, his beautiful smile, and how he befriended everyone he encountered. Most of all, he will be remembered for his love for God, his family, Zaria, and friends.
His grandmothers: Mae Susie Winstead; and Jerlene Stewart; his grandfather: Howard Stewart, Sr. preceded him in death.

Stewart of the home, and Howard Stewart Jr., of Milton, NC; his one beautiful sister: Tamicka Clay of Milton, NC; three loving brothers: Tristan Stewart, Sr. of Burlington, NC, Quomaine “Shake” Clay of Milton, NC, and Ronnie Swanson of Leasburg, NC; his grandmother: Stephanie Stewart; his significant other: Zaria Poteat; his ten aunts: Ernestine Barnette, Gladys Lipscomb, Lottie Clark, Marie “Miss” Farmer, Laura “Jean” McCain, Linda Royster, Sheila Stewart, Edith S. Elmore, Sharon Stewart and Brenda Reid; his eight uncles: Sandy Stewart, Ronald Stewart, Ross Stewart, Rodney Stewart, Franklin Stewart, Barry Stewart, Clarence “Beed” Stewart, and Bernice “Pete” Stewart; his three nieces: London Stewart, Tamia and Tiana Clay; his four nephews: Tristan Stewart Jr., Jekayvalyn, Jacorey, and Jayshawn Clay; and a host of other loving relatives, and cherished friends.

A viewing for Tevin Ta’Quan Stewart will be Friday, March 03, 2023; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Visitation for Tevin Ta’Quan Stewart will be Saturday, March 04, 2023; from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Caswell County Civic Center, in Yanceyville, NC.
Funeral Services for Tevin Ta’Quan Stewart will be Saturday, March 04, 2023; at 1:00pm at the Caswell County Civic Center, in Yanceyville, NC.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Semora, NC.
