Milton, NC- It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Thomas Stephens, 80, of 152 Palmers Alley, Milton NC, who passed away at his residence, Sunday, May 9, 2021.
Mr. Thomas Stephens was born on December 14, 1940 in Caswell County to the late Newglen Stephens and Ida Bell Adams Stephens.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas Stephens, was preceded in death by his wife, Martha James Stephens, three daughters Judy Smith, Janet Stephens, Stella Fitz; three sons, Oscar James, John James, Herbert James.
Mr. Thomas Stephens leaves to cherish his memories four daughters, Emma Baynes of Yanceyville, NC; Kimberly Jones (Cheynne) of Danville, VA; Demita Murphy of Danville, VA; and Joan Hunt (Robbie) of Danville, VA; five brothers Donnell Stephens of Yanceyville, NC; Glen Stephens of Burlington, NC; Alvis Stephens of Tennessee; Johnny Orange of Danville, VA; Roosevelt Stephens of South Carolina; ten sisters, Linda Chandler of Blanch, NC; Debra Stephens and Shinnette Stephens of Yanceyville, NC; Melissa Stephens and Audrey Stephens of Blanch, NC; Brenda Woods of Reidsville, NC; Lisa Stephens of Greensboro, NC; Joyce Ruffin and Glendora Lewis of Danville, VA; Deloris McCain of Milton, NC; a devoted grandson, Brian Stephens; a devoted caregiver, Vanessa Hamlett of Milton, NC; a good friend Rosa Carrington of Milton, NC; nineteen grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, host of other relatives and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Friday, May 14, 2021 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home, Yanceyville, NC with a limit of 10 people at a time.

Funeral Services for Mr. Thomas Stephens will be Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Olive Grove Baptist Church, Leasburg, NC. Bishop Darrell Hamlett will deliver the words of comfort. Interment will follow in Olive Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Leasburg, NC.
